When Polymarket created?
Polymarket was created in 2020. The platform was founded by Shayne Coplan and launched as a cryptocurrency-based prediction market.
It was built on the Polygon blockchain to enable fast, low-cost transactions for prediction market contracts. The concept combined cryptocurrency with prediction markets, allowing users to trade binary outcome contracts using USDC. Since creation, it has grown to handle billions in trading volume and become the largest prediction market by volume.
